Hi,
I'm Maggie, the owner of Stork.
Pronouns - She/Her
Since earning my qualifications, I have worked in generalist, community and private practice settings with a variety of presentations. Over the years, I have gradually tailored my work towards parenting and perinatal issues. I have had the privilage of supporting a scope of individuals with matters of miscarriage, infertility, challenging pregnancy, birth trauma, post partum anxiety, post partum depression, challenging adjustments, and parenting.
My therapeutic style is human-centered, meaning I place alot of emphasis on connection. I want to really hear you and understand your journey, I want you to feel safe and seen, I want us to be collaborators. I wouldn't consider myself a purist in any one modality, rather I combine elements of Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I find that this allows for a highly tailored, personalised experience.

our philosophy
Five years ago, whilst completing my studies in Psychology, the idea of Stork was birthed from a deep passion for women's health. Connecting with people in my life who were in the throws of parenthood, I heard stories of women who felt inadequate for struggling to ‘do it all’. The message was consistent… it ain't easy. It was then that I became familiar with the sometimes unhelpful narratives that exist around parenthood and the pressures and expectations that these create.
At the heart of Stork is the belief that parenting is a deeply human journey, raw, beautiful, and, messy. From conception through the early years of raising a child, this path can stir up joy, doubt, exhaustion, and love in equal measure. Our culture is one that often romanticises parenthood, leaving parent’s feeling isolated or inadequate when they meet the challenging reality. At Stork, we offer a space where your whole experience is welcome. Where your challenges are met with compassion. Our work supports you to feel seen, heard, and empowered, so you can navigate the reality of parenting, conception and loss with greater confidence and connection.
