POST NATAL CHALLENGES

The early days after a baby arrives can feel like landing in an entirely new habitat. One moment you’re in the familiar branches of your old life, and the next, you're in a strange, sleepless nest with a tiny human who depends on you for everything. Beautiful? Absolutely. But also, overwhelming, disorienting, and at times, lonely.

At Stork, we know that the fourth trimester (those first few months after birth) is very much about adjustment. Not just to the nappies and feeding schedules but also navigating the storm of emotions that can come with it. It’s not uncommon to feel like you’ve lost your footing, or even lost sight of who you are beneath the layers of parenthood.

In navigating these many shifts it is understandable that one might feel overwhelmed (to put it lightly). This is okay and normal! The postpartum period looks different for every parent, there is no one-size-fits-all experience.

You may find yourself wondering: Is this supposed to feel this hard? Or even, Am I doing this right? These are questions we hear often. And they matter.

Here at Stork, we offer a safe perch to pause, reflect, and gently begin to rebuild. You don’t have to have it all figured out. We’re here to sit beside you and help you find your footing again.
